Monty's win on Celebrity Mastermind showed a new side to his character: he seemed actually nervous and a little unsure for once. Good on ya' Monty!I was cheering you on.
It was nice to see him in an ungardening role. He did look rather nervous and shy. Was interested to hear he was involved in a Gardening Scheme that helped rehabilitate drug addicts. green_salad
seemed to know his subject [well done monty, will be rooting for you in the future rounds,]
but wouldn't they let him have his mug of tea while in the "chair"
S..t!!! I missed it and me one of Monty's biggest fans. Glad he won, so will keep an eye out for the next round. What was his specialist subject?

Hi
It was the Beetles

Hi Sara
Thanks very much for replying. After posting message I actually checked out Radio Times listings and guessed it would have been The Beatles. Couldn't imagine Monty being interested in Jamaican politics, Apollo Space Missions or railways of South East England!
Thanks once again.

Didnt know anything about this. I saw one celebrity mastermind yesterday and thought it was a one off. When was monty on it then? Will it be repeated anytime soon?
Well done to MD, after the first round he was fav to win it. I think though, that asking s.o. of Monty's "vintage" about the Beatles would be like asking s.o. else questions about "the days of the Week".
I was very disappointed with Diane Abbot, love her on the late night politics show with Andrew Neil and Michael Portillo. But as they start off with the easy questions to get you settled, she didn't know the date of Bermudan independence!!!OH dear, oh dear.
There's a famous joke in this country about an entrepreneur of one the biggest chain stores. It goes something like this,
blah blah blah.
"And your specialised subject is?"
"Anoraks, 1499 to 1999"
