Hi All
I'm Flora, a new host here on the gardening message boards. Just thought I'd pop my head around the cyber-door and say hello before I start posting and you all start wondering who I am!
To introduce myself: I'm an avid gardener (unsurprisingly) with a particular interest in vegetable gardening, as well as a bit of thing for houseplants and orchids.
I'll leave you to your discussions for the time being but if there's anything I can do/help with, just shout.
Flora
Hi Flora and welcome.
Sorry about this but I can't resist it. We have a boarder called Margi already, so are the two of you going to get together and put on a bit of a "spread"?!!!
(Flora, Margi, geddit?).
Oh well. Never mind

"is there anything I can help with"
Yes please-Server-Server-Server.
And finaly can you sort out the server please.
regards
lance
Hi Lance
Thanks for the welcome - I know there are some ongoing server problems!
I'm not sure *I* can make things better, but I will at least pass on your comments to the powers that be.
Flora
BTW, thought your fruit tree recommendations in the Allotment tales board were spot on. I've got a dual pear tree at the back of my allotment and Mr. Flora is still eating pear and almond pies made from its produce...
Hello Flora and welcome.
The biggest problem is the b* Server. At 16.55 I tried to post a message and got the answer 'Server too busy' EIGHT times
help with, just shout.

Hi Flora
Sorry to welcome you to the boards with moans about the server - but nevertheless it is so bad most days now that it makes the boards pretty much unusable. Every time I want a new screen I get server busy message, it makes it impossible to either post or read a thread. Doesn't look good on the ´óÏó´«Ã½ that they can't get this right.
Rhoda
Hi Flora! Have you taken over from Tom or have been added to the team of moderators?
BTW Slugger, I CAN tell Flora from Margi ...
Nice meeting you Flora
Just curious
You're not related to Fauna from the wildlife board are you?
Or Rainier and Gail from the weather board...?
And I do apologise if you really go by the name of Flora

Slugger! When you remember that Margi has a hard G-sound in the middle (as previously discussed on this board) this becomes a bit far-fetched, I think... or shall we start to call you Sludgier?
Margi xx
Ah but my grandmother was from Liverpool and said margarine with a hard G!!! And Slugger's from up there somewhere - perhaps he talks funny too!!!!!
(How you doin' chuck?) Px
Don't get clever, Plocket! Slugger was trying to be funny, but it didn't work!!! And I don't want anyone thinking I've got a soft G! You can go off people, you know!!! I quite like Sludgier though...
(I'm just fine thanks, honey... gardened yesterday and everything - and then mostly slept today for some reason... ah well, maybe revision tomorrow!)
Margi x (Mwah!)
Artistic license! (beware - grumpy artist at work)
Who are you calling grumpy? Me or you?
M x
Me, but if the cap fits......
I think it probably does!!!!
M xxx
A nice tight speedo swimming cap.........
Tight it would certainly be.
Nice? Maybe not!
Mmmmmm - attractive!
Errr not!
M x
Now I've seen a picture of you Slugger my imagination can do it's worst!!!!!
