And so we continue to trudge heavily through the borders with Monty. I will be whizzing through it, pre-recorded on Sky+.

Hey - I'm a big Monty fan - I just felt that siren voices were drawing him away from GW and into other things later this year.
Anyway, wonder why he/they felt a need to issue a confirmation. It's a sure fire certainty that a minister's career is approaching an end when the PM confirms that he/she is absolutely, definitely not leaving. Just a thought....
Hi Trillium
Apparently the rumour was started by Amateur Gardening when they found out Monty was going to front a major new series "Around the World in 80 Gardens" which is likely to take 2 years to complete. What with that and his various other projects he has on the go at the moment, they thought he wouldn't have the time to continue with GW. So the producer of GW decided to confirm that he will be continuing with it and they will also be confirming within the next few weeks who the other presenters are going to be.
Of course, you never know, it might have been prompted by the discussions on this board!!!!
Anyway, nice to know Monty does have a few fans on here.

I think a real treat one week on GW would be the Carol and Christine show. 2 passionate down, to earth gardeners, with no frills, just inspiration

Apparently he did'nt like GW very much.....that's why he 'moved on'...
Or more like they got rid of him - from what I've heard!!!

I think you'll find it was his own choice and was nothing to do with GW....it is more the ´óÏó´«Ã½...
We were told (by somebody in the know) at GW Live last year that the ´óÏó´«Ã½ got rid of him! - so don't suppose we will ever get to know what really happened!!! It's a shame whatever - I thought him and Monty got on really well. GW has never been quite the same since.

According to Monty he left.
Did he tell you why? My friend is absolutely itching to know what happened. It was her who asked about him at GW Live.
According to Monty he left.Ìý
Monty rocks.
That's positive, by the way!
Can't say on the message board, but if you go to my website and email me, I can say, but don't tell anybody
