  Any Body know of of any info regarding the national gardening show on the tv coming soon.

  It did appear on a thread some time ago.
  It is NOT about the village show it is the Beeb making a programme about personalities (AGAIN). I asked for and received an entry form and they want to know about your ethnicity, age, marital status, hobbies and interests, funny happenings at shows, have you been on TV.
  There is a short list of classes, mostly Giant ... How on earth a giant pumpkin can be judged on anything other than weight I do not know. You can enter three classes only and then you will be invited to submit an entry into just one of the classes. There are six regional heats all in England and then a grand final. The judge will be Medwyn Williams.
  Sorry I am a bit negative but my experience of a village show bears no resemblance to this proposal.

  Just to let you know I emailed off the form to grow the biggest sunflower, the kids wanted to help. Got a call within an hour to ask if I'd be interested, with the children to be on the show.
  The kids are very excited, I usually enter our local village show, so don't feel too bad about entering, and if at the end of the day it does encourage more people, especially the kids to enter these shows, it will have done some good.
  
  Like they say no publicity is bad...so if anybody knows any secrets for giant sunflowers let me know asap...
