Are there any fans of this channel - Freeview 19 for eg - if so what is your favourite - some wonderful garden programmes each day - try watching it this week from 6.00am onwards, before going to work?

    My two top favourites are

    Gardens Unplugged
    Take Three Gardeners

They are repeated many times but you never tire from watching them

Tomorrow at 7am Garden for All Seasons introduced by Charlie Dimmock and presented by Ann-Marie Powell

Followed by Garden Hopping - lovely .......

Hi Jennywren. I love F19. Am off sick at the moment and it is a joy to watch. Anything to do with gardens , especially amateur and novice gardeners is great. If only the ´óÏó´«Ã½ had programs like these.

    Hi,

when I dont have to fight the little one for the remote it is normally on, there are some programs which are good and some that are dire, I dislike the win plants quizzy type things.

Hi JennyWren I usually switch the tv on in the bedroom when I am trying to exert myself and get up and go to work.
My favourite is a garden for all Seasons.I think Charlie is a bit stilted in her presenting however I think it is useful to see the changes made over the year in the same garden. Gives you ideas.
I also like the one where it concentrates on one large garden. I am not sure if that is garden hopping or not but it was on this morning.

One the other morning spoke about Pendle Hill and I realised then that the garden must be near me. I thought the landscape seemed familiar!!!!! I shall definately be paying it a visit this Summer.

Hi Plantaholic - what wonderful names you all have - I am a new member to this type of messaging

I agree about Charlie but then compared with Ann-Marie Powell she does seem to fade into the background

Ann-Marie has written a super book called Urban Gardens, if you are a fan of hers

Garden Hopping is presented by Daphne Ledward and that is what you may have been watching this morning - they are all repeated later on in the day too - JennyWrenn

Thanks for that JennyWren. I used to watch GMTV and then discovered the garden programmes the other week.

I haven't been on the message boards long myself and think it's great being able to read about and contact others who feel just as passionate about gardening as we do. Up to now all my family have thought I have been obsessed with gardening but now I realise I am not alone and probably know very little compared to others. But I am enjoying improving my knowledge.
