Who agrees? Can we please, ´óÏó´«Ã½, have a programme dedicated to Sara's gardens (if she's game of course)? Thought the euphorbia item wonderful.
The rest of the show was also excellent of course, apart from ref to pellets to kill slugs. As a hedgehog carer I've seen too many hedgehogs dying from these.
And I've got to wait to see it online now! OH had to take a little one to casualty, so I gave up my one and only program a week for another little one to stay up and watch rainbow, thomas, wombles etc. Just found they are shown online, but still showing last weeks. Never mind, hopefully should be worth the wait!
Is it true about the pellets killing the hedhehogs, tulipmania? I thought the new pellets were meant to be safe. I have been using them, but obviously if they are definitely harming the hedhehogs will stop.
Hi Jonah
Hope your little one is OK again .
Yest Tulpje, I thought the item on the euphorbias great as well, I would especially like to see how Sarah's orchard is going on.
Take care
Anneliese
I do believe the pellets spoken about in the show were organic experiments based on garlic so your hedgehogs will just have scented breath.
I agree, haven't we seen bits before in GW a long time ago. Bet she'd beat Christine into a cocked hat.
Sorry, reply to original post Sarahs garden.
Hope there's nothing too wrong with 'little 'un'.
Enjoy the programme in peace and quiet when little 'uns are tucked up.
We believe that to be effective, snail/slug pellets need to have high doses of poison. Saw 3 baby hedgehogs die slowly last summer from poison.
I believe gardeners should work along side nature and try to create havens for beleagued wildlife.
Thanks anneliesje and tulipmania, little one is now safe and snug in bed.
I've got the Advanced Slug Pellets, has Ferric Sulphate as the active ingredient, I will check them out more before using again, but I have a severe slug phobia.
Pretty much anything else is welcome to visit, bar the local cats!
I don't like euphorbias, but I think Sarah is inspirational. I would welcome whole programes about her ideas, and I'd love to see her orchard too. But not more Sarah at the expense of Carol Klein.

Well, why then can't we see each individual gardener's garden in turn during the series? And, if it's not going a step too far, maybe each garden 3 times to show spring, summer and autumn!
Yes, I'd love to see all the presenters' gardens. I imagine Joe Swift has lots of modern stuff, like his washing-line pergola; I should think Carol has vast quantities of ususual things grown from cuttings, and lots of exciting colour matches. I know Monty's is all huge hedges and high maintenance; Sarah's isn't quite so much my thing because I prefer permanent planting and to enjoy plants outside.
Great idea!

What a great idea to see all of the presenters gardens. Are you listening GW?
OOOoo I agree with you...I love Carol Klein she is so full of enthusiasm and lively too. Euphorbias are poisonous but they have some beautiful colours...

I suggested this way back at beginning of January and Tom the Gardener particularly liked the idea - so we shall see ...........maybe, you never know
I ALSO WOULD LIKE TO SEE A SHOW DEDICATED TO SARA,S GARDEN. SO WE CAN SEE HOW HER ORCHARD IS PROGRESSING.

Great minds think alike Polyanthus2! Missed your posting in January.
Greetings from Tulip
I think thats a brilliant idea. Sarah's book 'the vegetable plot' has fantastic photos of Perch Hill, it would be wonderful if GW could do a piece there. I also think Carol's enthusiam is great. Both Carol and Sarah seem really 'genuine'and are so watchable.
I agree about seeing sarah's own garden,I was so impressed with her tip for sewing cucumber seeds i've bought her book 'the great vegetable plot' which has just arrived from 'the book people' I'm going to read it while I eat my lunch, I promise not to cover it with food debris! Bulbus.
if she's game of courseÌý
I'm quite sure SR would be delighted to have an other opportunity to plug, sorry, show , her garden off on TV - never one to turn down a bit of free publicity!
Actually, I am slowly warming to her as a presenter , but still find her prices exhorbitant
Not normally a fan of Sarah on GW, but have noticed before she is a much better presenter when she is in her own environment. Perhaps she needs her own show, and leave GW behind.
