paul james.

Here are a few suggestions. What do you think?
1) a talking metal vulture
2) an elk
3) computer generated simulations of deities such as Vishnu and Buddha
4) Alan Titchmarsh Power Rangers with gardening attachments
5) I've promised not to mention Ewoks, but.... their Landscape Garden Army- led by roly-poly funny man and Blockheads bankroller Phil Jupitus- would be fantastic
6) A cartoon version of SClub7 who sing, garden and dance- imagine their synchronised mowing!
7) a concrete statue of a cow, on the Moon, that communicates to us its views on important gardening issues via an animated talking coconut (which could be placed in an internally spiked buoyant metal box and pushed off Niagra Falls to spice up the commentary)
8) Otis Ferry, from behind the wheels of one of his dad's sports cars, driving at 100mph passed the blind childrens orphanage drinking whiskey from the skull of a snow leopard

Prince Charles front man Camilla digging the beds and GG asking them if they know the difference between a jersey royal and spud u like. Things can only get better.

Who's GG? Graham from the Goodies? He'd make an excellent presenter of gardeners world. But I'd watch more often if it was fronted by the Giant Doogle.

Could be for all we know. Anything is possible on this board.

I don't like Monty Don. Patronising know-all is the best I have to say about him.
Joe and Carol just about 'save' GW for me. Why not just send MD back to his newspaper column - if they can afford him now - and let the other two carry the programme on.
His absence from ´óÏó´«Ã½'s Chelsea coverage, was a big plus. IMO.

By the way Derek Pig is the Giant Doogle scottish? If he is I hope he speaks clearly.
Me, I'll do it I could get down and dirty in the mud a bit like a gardening version of Nigella Lawson. (a slightly slimmer version)
Nigella Lawson.
Now there IS a thought.
they all ready have t & a on gardener world. her name is Alys Fowler
Christine Walkden and Reg!
yeah! Reg is the man!
Jeremy Clarkeson would be excellent as well!
Me!!
Although i like the idea of the cow on the moon - how novel!!

gridgardener hello sorry to be so dim but what does t and a stand for?
breast and bums clarify it for you.
Hey Londonplantmad
I've got a ridiculously strong regional accent. Nee one nars wor am seeyin doon sooth. Like.
You ken?
And so far the cow on the moon is ahead in the straw poll- I HOPE THE ´óÏó´«Ã½ ARE LISTENING!!
Derek Pig
T & A?? T & A!!!? This is Gardener's World we're talking about!! Some genuflection pleeease
I like Monty, although he is a bit of headmaster - I think Joe Swift could take over admirably given the chance - he's enthusiatic and pleasant, and I wouldn't be scared to sound like an idiot if I asked him questions... I would with Monty!
Or the cow on the moon - brilliant!
BOB FLOWERDEW!!
Jeremy Clarkson is an even better suggestion than Nigella Lawson, or maybe both together! What a Laugh, that would be brilliant.
A front woman for a change....good old northern Carol Klein?
Failing that, someone who knows about plants, Roy Lancaster, another great northerner!
What about Derek Pig, He knows EVERYTHING and has a Surrey accent!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

we're not having him its going to be all girls
(all t&a gg, how do you like that?)
actually, i cant comment, my plot looks like an overgrown scrapyard too
Back to the subject! Alan T and Carol K, a bit of Chris, Joe S and Rachel DT. Guest appearances by GOTY winner visiting gardens! That would do me just fine!
give it to Alys Fowler, who's already the non presenting head gardener of berryfields. her online tips and features are brilliant, and it's about time they had a woman as head gardener.

I thought she was the gardener at Berryfields - I've never actually seen her on GW.
I reckon that the folk who actually do all the digging and planting at Berryfields should be the stars of the show!
lets get someone who doesnt have a personality and a passion which " THE OTHERS"...(good ol psyco film) seemto dislike then they wont be "YAWNING" all day. Or robots without personalities to match them.
Tony Blair - "these pansies are not wilting because of the actions of my Government, but from the years of under-investment under the Tory Party! We have set out our strategy for reviving the fortunes of the pansies and, after taking consultation, we will report on our findings and put in place the measures and the means that will allow these pansies to thrive"

The originator of this thread is an omnipotent gardening guru, and has been kindly sharing his vast knowledge in an individual way on the Allotment Tales Board. You need look no further.
