I'm used to being behind the rest of the country by a few weeks in spring, but we all seem to be late this year. I'd normally want to have potatoes in and salads sown, but I think the ground is simply still too cold and wet. Does anyone else have any thoughts/comments on the start to 2010 growing season?

Hi northernlimits
Like you I'm struggling with frozen ground - we have snow this week end and saw the first swallow today, poor thing. I've not been able to plant anything so far and those seeds I've nurtured could do with going out......I live on top of the North Pennines - beautiful scenery but short growing season at the best of times
