On last weeks Gardener's World Toby mentioned that he had problems with sweet peas and mice. I just thought it may be helpful for others to know that I had a similar problem two years ago. Well, last year I sowed my sweet peas in November and when they were big enough to repot I then covered them. I made from that very fine mesh type netting which, I think could be used as a wind break, into a cage/cover which fitted very neatly over a seed tray or a tray with the pots in. It was completely successful and what was so good was that I could water the seedling without disturbing the netting. So I think the mice were well and truly foxed!!
