The program for last Friday states that we will find the instructions to build a herb spiral on ´óÏó´«Ã½.co.uk/gardners' world BUT the instructions are either not there or are difficult to find. Can anyone help please?

Stefanie, i did have a quick look myself, and couldn't see a link either, but not because i wanted to copy it, as i thought it was poor, but because i wanted to workout how much money someone would actually waste getting the materials. A few years back i helped my mum build a very large rockery type structure in her garden, from rubble from an inside wall that had been knocked down in the house, and rubble from the garden. You could get all your stones for free, just by going to your local council recycling plants, and by getting your materials from roadside skips, just ask the builder or owner, they won't object. But i'm a person who enjoys making things from stuff that other people want to throw out, it's alot of fun, and rewarding too. It's actually a shame Gardeners World do not do something like that on there show, but then GW would probably frown and look down on something like that
Hello Stefanie,
You need to click the small and poorly placed link "MORE: programme information" which takes you to where they do have informationand more than Tony gave on the programme.
If you should wish to plant pennyroyal, from the BASIC HERBS LIST listed, but not mentioned by Tony, the correct name is Mentha pulegium - which comes in two forms, and is not as invasive as other mints. The Mentha cervina name given is in fact a mint thast is a water plant (like watermint, Mentha aquatica) and does much better in wetter conditions than the raised spiral-helix would provide.
