Hello all,
Why have the Beeb let us down with no special edition over holiday period?
Surely they have missed out again just as the presenters were gaining a little more bonding with the followers of this jem on a Friday night.
The enjoyment this show gives to me and non-gardeners is a big loss, especially the seasonal ideas.
Please rectify this for future planning over festive season.
Kind regards to you all from a snowed in potting shed in West Scotland.
Manurescot.

They're probably just that! Snowed in the potting shed!

Manurescot?
Is there any other kind? sorry just kidding.
The TV producers think they need to go head to head on ratings each year for that one extra viewer.
You get a plethora of similar programmes which will not include niche efforts like gardening. They all think the tools go away in November and come out again in March.
We gardeners know this is fallacy but there are not enough of us complaining to get anything done about it.
I hate Christmas TV, old films, so called modern comedians, with the odd gem thrown in which if you do not get the TV paper you miss as they constantly advertise after each programme the shows where your brain can go to sleep and in my case the rest of me too.
We must just look forward to next year and see what it brings.
Frank.

Hello Frank,
I will let you off for that dung joke about my nation. It was like me sometimes, (stinking) although I am always happy when spreading the stuff.
So glad that we agree on the lack of quality gardening programmes.
Most of us are planning, buying and shopping with catalogues and would appreciate the extra advice. This would help the small nurseries If they could be highlighted on tv. Surely this would help the small business in these trying times and help us plan new products and plants for coming season.
Do not hate Christmas and please keep that body awake!
You have cheered me up today, when I saw your reply my smile was as wide as the Firth of Clyde.
I was glad to see your thread on new show for Monty, more the better.
The other reason I let you off lightly on that joke is that I am a Frank also, wonderful strong name.
Best wishes over festive season to you and family.
Frank the manure man.
