For all of you posters that are lamenting the return of Monty Don, or missing Toby, a 'real' programme for proper gardeners starts next month, fronted by knowledgeable presenters. Yes, Beechgrove returns again at 7.30pm on Monday 4th April on ´óÏó´«Ã½ 1 Scotland. (Sky channel 971). Just can't wait !!
Gardening Australia ain't bad either.
(Available to download)

Life's full of blooming woes!
I don't live in Scotland and we haven't got Sky.
freesat
or
bbc iplayer
Great minds think alike!
That was already my plan.Gardeners World doesnot have to be the be all and end all!

Lets hope that ITV and AT and Alys turns out to be true then we will have three to watch.....
Having started watching gardening shows on iPlayer last year, I would say that Beechgrove Garden is indeed the best. It's a more traditional programme, yet it is accessible to newbies, and they pack a lot into each episode.
Gardeners' World seems to be in a transition phase at the moment, there is no focus and it feels like they should brake it up into two or three different shows. Moving the production to a new location is also a big long term risk.
Oh well, we shall see how it pans out. The more choice the better, and it will be interesting to see what ITV do with their series.
couldnt agree more i caught it last yr on catch up.No end of trials with compost etc, and just what a real gardener wants . Thanks agian Chris
