Two weeks ago I saw hope that GW would at last begin to settle to a gardening programe. Instead of a tour of stately homes and posh manor houses , Oh well I was wrong. Now I am lucky to have a largish garden .God only knows what a newbie on a small back plot makes of it all. And when is it ever going to be a blue sky in his garden.
i'm very new to the boards and i have a tiny smelly back yard and i love seeing round posh gardens. its brillaint, i never get to see stuff like that. GW with monty its excellent.
not much he can do about the sky, mr gray

But Mr Shakes, would you not like to know how to turn your " tiny smelly back yard". Into a beautiful fragrant little beauty of your own instead ?
Monty gardeners bit was GW.
Caroles bit was Spring Watch.
Rachels bit was for The Country House Rescue Brigade....

Actually, I think Carole (or was it Rachel?) did say that when they were doing their set pieces.
Problem is that, as many people keep on saying, in the current format, the show is too short - it needs at least an hour to fit everything in, if it wants to have set pieces on other peoples gardens.
Oh, and Joey Shakes - if you want to get out and see real gardens rather than seeing them on the black box in the corner of the sitting room, look up National Garden Scheme on Google and you will find a feast of private gardens all over the country that open at different times during the year. You can either buy the "Yellow Book" from NGS, or save yourself £10 and search for gardens from the website by simply putting in your Post Code and the distance you're prepared to travel. If you ever go - top tip. Get their 20 mins before they are advertised open - parking isn't always easy if you go later, and if you get in first, you can often have the whole garden virtually to yourself for the first 20 minutes or so. All "donations" to enter the gardens go to local charities, and you can enjoy tea and fabulous home made cakes.
no mr geay, i know exactle what i'm doing in the garden but i'm not in the slightest bit inclined- couldn't be bothered. couldn't care less. itd be wasted in my streeet as it completely stinks. i'd rather look at other peoples gardens- anyway, where would i put the bin?
I think you are just on these boards to create disharmony JS. I think you may be a troll who has been here before. As a long time teacher of many dyslexic children and adults, your posts do not show signs of dyslexia, rather, someone who is out to draw attention to themselves by...being deliberately controversial...typing carelessly...showing no interest in punctuation...showing no interest in gardening - hence the frequent denegrading remarks about your yard, street and locale. Why are you on here if you have such little interest in the subject? Only to cause dissent and trouble methinks.
Therefore, I for one will now totally ignore your ramblings, neither reading them nor replying to them and I urge other, thoughtful posters to do the same.
hi tim, yeah i got a yellow book, where i work opens for the yellow book, right pain it is as well. i couldn't be bothered with going to any of them though because i find everyone involved in the yellow book to be a horrible little snob. its kind of ironic isnt it- i love looking at posh gardens but would be firtst up to light the bonfire if we sacked their homes, poured diesel on theior frocks and introduced a seven headed arthur scargill hydra with freddy krugers breath into all their dreams. for ever.
sorry lowena- i am dyslexic, i did th etest years ago and i am- i have a yellow cover sheet to put over all written work so that i can read it. i dont think you really know a lot about dyslexia and i dont thionk you are being honest about your teaching dsylecsics. its all about spell checks. and i cant use them- this, like many dsylexsics, makes me a careless typist- if you had rreally woreked with dsylecsic people you would definately know this.
i have not been controversial- i only like monty don and you lot all want to hang him. i reaslly admire the bbc gardening output and you lt seem hell benty on knockking it. down
my street is rubbish. so is th wewhole estate.
