If anyone is interested, the first half of this week's Poetry Please on Radio 4 had a gardening theme. They read out the 3 winners of this years Gardeners World magazine poetry competition. There were some lovely poems.
It is repeated next Saturday at 11.30pm.
I'd like to open this up to everyone as an online gardening poetry competition. This is my first entry although it has no title as i havent thought of it yet:
its very hot and i sweat
A lot
then its cold, my knees ache and i feel old
then it rains and the cement stains
and my language is fit only for the drains
then i go home and I groan
thats called "my experiences of a life as a landscape gardener"
anyone beat that?
