Does anyone else feel frustrated by some of the details on Gardeners World. For example, this last week, Carol was explaining how to save your own seed and she was taking seed heads from plants. However, when it came to the exact state of seed head, the camera moved to a shot of her face. They did not show the seed head condition that she was removing. I teach the RHS Horticulture class and although i know, there are numerous people watching that do not know and on numerous occasions, just as they are explaining techniques, the camera moves to the presenter. Thank you but we do not need to see them, just hear their explanation - leave the camera on the activity! Let s see more of their hands and less of their faces when it is important to see the whole activity. Its the only way some people are going to see some of these techniques.

For most seeds as long as you know when they are about to be ready it doesn't matter if you drop or loose a few.
In fact I tend to find that the best seedling appear round the plant - in fact they are sometimes better than sowing them
I would have liked to have seen the cleaning and storing of the seed
I normally keep mine in an old fridge in one of the sheds where it seems to keep for ages
I have to agree. I also am qualified and work in horticulture and I was particularly interested in Carols very impressive raised beds.
In a future program, I am sure a lot of viewers would be interested in how these were designed and constructed. Not to mention the cost.
I do feel that the programs are a tad bitty and would like to see more time dedicated to specific projects.

clem
a lot of money and a lot of hard work - but very nice raised beds
this one took a bit of building its 10' by 40'
took a bit of filling about 60 tons of bits of left over stone and rubbish and then 16 ton of soil on top
