Is it true that Prince Charles has applied?

Perhaps he'll tout for business on classicfm on Saturday morning, to which he has de-camped from ´óÏó´«Ã½ Radio 2. (I mean AT rather than HRH, of course )
PHJ

I don't think he falls into the 'worthy people' category as he can well afford it himself!

Off with your head, girlg, for saying that HRH is unworthy.

Highgrove doesn't need transforming. It's perfection itself to me. Our garden club visited last year. We loved it. A proper garden with a few weeds about as there is a limit to the staff he has and there were 'works in progresss' as in most gardens.
This was my second visit.

I think Highgrove is very overrated, with the resources at its owners disposal.
You have to be able to get to the London studios if AT's show chooses your garden.

I have to admit that I did not find the last series thrilling.
Let's hope it'll prove more absorbing this time.

Alan and the team will come to your garden to transform it for Love Your Garden. If you are applying for the redesign on The Alan Titchmarsh Show, you are right Lowena, a day out to The London Studios!

All this week I found myself at home, nursing a nasty bout of pharyngitis and laryngitis. Having read somewhere on this board that Titchmarsh has a gardening slot on his ITV chat show, I decided to watch it. The minute, or so, slots were not bad but what I found unatterably crass was his attitude to Peter Andre, who was there promoting some reading scheme he and Boris Johnson are supporting.
The chappy's would-be-contempt for Andre was cringe making. I surmised that AT considers himself a writer of note; as I don't read Mills and Boon type fiction, I would not have a personal opinion on the matter. However, I distinctly recall how Machael Parkinson humiliated him by reading aloud on his show some equally crass description of an intimate moment amongs the lovers of his creation.
Yet, what was somewhat pleasing was that his audience was delightedly screaming to see Andre, obviously one of their idols. Needless to add poor AT seemed most annoyed!

Yes, I watched it and pretty much viewed it in the same way.
Something I find very irksome about AT is this image he portrays of a ‘eeh ba gum, look at me, a humble Yorkshire lad'.....particularly when he is sucking up to the royals.
A great gardener, but I don't rate him very highly as a chat show presenter.
