Monty - I think I luv you! You've found your metier - filming from your own garden has changed the whole programme.
I didn't have a single criticism tonight. It was informative, entertaining and - well, just good!
I was critical in the past. I now have my Friday night back again. And this as the board closes! Hmmmm. Perhaps its closure will be referred to next week. But I feel the programme has been re-energised - to the benefit of all viewers at all levels!
Well done.

Not to mention eternal fame for Artemis, having his letter read out, re rose cuttings.
I know these things to be life changing!
I forebore from mentioning that - but it does show that the Don still reads these boards (well - not for much longer!)

Ought a GW thread to be started in "the Other Place" wherein most Beeb posters are currently to be found, or does one already exist?

Yes, there is one, Posh.
Hi PHJ & David K,
I haven't seen this weeks yet due to regional variations. I always watch in on Saturday mornings on the iplayer. Looking forward to it
I think great idea to start a thread on the gardeners world site
Hi thee hence, then David.
Are you going to be more pleasant over there?
That's a serious question - you could turn over a new leaf if you wanted to?
Nooj
David doesn't need me to defend him - but I have found him nothing but courteous, even when disagreeing with another poster. I have seen his postings in GW: also courteous, friendly and helpful.
Let's try to keep the "other place" friendly and not acrimonious. Please.
PHJ
No problem PHJ - I was referring to exchanges between David and me when my beloved Monty answered a query of mine!
I enjoyed last night's programme
The last 2 programmes have been superb. It's taken a while, but everything seems to be falling into place now, we have a good straightforward informative gardening show with a good variety of topics. I think it helps that we are getting to know Monty's garden as we see areas for the second year.
Seems Monty enjoyed it too....
Good to see him so settled in the role now.
Watched it this morning, really enjoyed it
Monty, his garden and the whole programme are the perfect antidote to the long working week. And Nigel the dog is so happy in front of the camera - splendid. Just wish the programme could be longer.
.....but just think how much better it will be when Brian takes over at the helm...eh... eh!!
gonna be all right....everything's gonna be allright
Oh yeah!
