If I force my rhubarb "Timperley Early" in October will it still grow next summer as usual or will it be worn out?

It is 'usual/normal' to force rhubarb in the spring. It takes a lot of strength out of the crown. If you have three well established crowns you can force one each year and let it recover during that year while you crop normally from the other two. Cheers, Tony.

Rhubarb dies back in the winter so there will not be any stems to force. If your plant is young do not split it or force it next spring. Leave it a few years to mature. Never take any stems from rhubarb after July. They need these late stems to strengthen the plant and also the oxalic acid builds up in these late stems so it does not taste so good.
