Hi
I have tried over several years to propagate my Blueberry Bushes, without success. Things which I have tried: Root Cuttings, Hardwood Cuttings & Softwood Cuttings. Last year my Hardwood Cuttings (all were placed in ericaceous compost, some with grit, some without & using hormone rooting powder), which were taken in the Autumn seemed to be healthy come Spring but then suddenly died when I tried to see if they were ready to be potted on. I have tried putting them in a propagator, or just putting them in an unheated greenhouse. I also water them with rain water. I am at a bit of a loss to know what to do next or where I am going wrong as I don't normally have problems propagating stuff. I am not sure of the variety of the two larger bushes but my most recent purchase is "Top Hat". Can anyone offer advice?
Thanks
M.
Try layering.
