We have two fig trees in large tubs, Trees approx 3' high. Last two years we have had growth, but no fruit. Lots of leaves and new side shoots, thats all.
We were advised to keep them in tubs, to encourage top growth, but where is the fruit ???

    MickB.

Are you feeding them well? Did you pinch out the shoots correctly in the summer? Are they young trees? Maybe they just need time.

May I suggest you get hold of a RHS handbook on pruning. It gives full details of pruning and feeding.

Whoever told you not to feed fig trees was misguided.

They are very young yet, give them time to fill their pots with roots, when they feel potbound they will fruit. You know I expect that it takes 2 years to get ripe fruits? My big fig tree, about 15 - 18 foot tall and 15 foot wide, is in the ground, never fruits because I prune it for huge leaves not fruits, so do it now. It gets hard cut around now to be in one layer against the wall and fence, we take vast amounts of wood from it each year. Each year I worry I have overdone it this time, each year it comes back smiling with the enormous leaves that I am aiming for.

The cuttings strike very easily in pots of compost sat by the cold frame, these do fruit, have given them to several friends who did want them for fruit rather than leaves.
