Does anyone know anything about this. I bought one this year and it grew loads of leaves but didn't flower. Will it next year? Also I wonder if it is hardy?

This plant can take a couple of years to mature to flowering so be patient. It is said to be hardy in USDA zones 4 to 9 which means it should cope with the worst of a British winter. To be sure, make sure it's in a well drained spot so it won't rot in winter wet and give the crown a protective mulch of compost once the top dies back for winter.

Protect from slugs next spring by scattering a few wildlife friendly slug pellets every 2 weeks from St Valentine's Day till late May. Slugs and snails like echinacea shoots.

I planted the seedlings out in early June. They did not do well to start with due to the lack of rain water. (tap water can not be good). They are surviving in spite of getting too involved with ground elder, and being in a less than very sunny place near a hedge, but I am hoping for some flower next year. They are alongside Lupins and Hostas.
    The lupins flowered well.
