One of few successes this year, I've been eating it for some time now but there are colonies of bugs white fly and those tiny grey bugs? Plus a few little snail that have escaped the pellets on the ground and now live in the cavalo nero canopy
Not massive infestations because I did spray from time to time but because of the very puckered nature of the leaves they can hide in air pockets in the leaves, I don't particularly want to eat them accidentally. They easily survive ordinary washing in the sink unless I do it good few times vigorously, I bet I've eaten some ....fussy moir ?
Their must be secret

A soak in cold salt water makes a lot of little bugs vacate veggies.

I find that most of the winter bugs on Greens(Sprouts/Cabbage/Kale etc) are in fact Whitefly in various stages of growth-scaley grey look like the eggs or larva.
I tried a spray in the summer which killed then but they soon re appear!
I think most folk give a good soak-but their oily coverings mean they just float ! Also wash under running water. I dont find they harm the greens much -all good food!

I have done that with salt but in warm-ish water and then back to cold,. a few rinses get most but I guess I've eaten a few.
Thanks for the replies anyway all.
