There's no better place to see the stunning carpet of flowers this February than at Kingston Lacy near Wimborne. Snowdrops are one of the first bulbs to flower and signal the start of spring. This month a white blanket of delicate flowers will come into bloom at Kingston Lacy. The gardens at Kingston Lacy, near Wimborne will be open for visitors to enjoy nature’s annual winter spectacular when over six million snowdrops will appear, creating a winter wonderland. 'Lady Walk' at Kingston Lacy There are 29 varieties of snowdrop at Kingston Lacy which create a spectacular white carpet throughout the gardens.Ìý Snowdrops were first introduced to Kingston Lacy by Henrietta Bankes. She createdÌý the 'Lady Walk' in the early 1900s. Since then, the flowers have naturally spread back into the woodlands. The park and garden only are open from 6 Feb - 8 Mar 09, Saturday & Sunday betweenÌý 10:30–4:00.
