Information
In tonight’s special workshop, composer and performer Robert Laidlow takes you on a journey from Bach to Beethoven and beyond – breaking new ground with cutting edge AI-powered compositions.
This exciting pre-concert event explores how composers can work with Artificial Intelligence and what the future of music could look (and sound) like.
See if you can spot the difference between music from a composer or a computer - and generate your own pieces using AI to be played by members of the ´óÏó´«Ã½ Philharmonic.
You’ll also be the first people to hear two new works! Parallel Endings (using AI to finish a phrase from Beethoven’s Opferlied) and another brand new work for violin.
=============================
Journey Through Music concerts feature music that is particularly accessible for children. They include pre-concert events and programme notes written specially for a younger audience.
The pre-concert events are a great opportunity for the entire family to get to know the music. Enjoy demonstrations from ´óÏó´«Ã½ Philharmonic players, ask questions and you may even get to make some music yourselves.
We look forward to welcoming you to the Barbirolli Room at 6.15pm. Please be prompt, seats are first come first served. This session is recommended for ages 8 and above although younger children in family groups are welcome.
Free to concert ticket holders - you do not need an additional ticket.
