Fri 28 Feb 2014 Stage 2
Supported by ´óÏó´«Ã½ Tees Introducing

Weird Shapes are one of four ´óÏó´«Ã½ Introducing acts on the line-up for the 6 Music Festival after being championed by their local show on ´óÏó´«Ã½ Tees.

The Stockton quintet, led by frontman Dan Spooner, have been conjuring ambient indie since 2011 earning praise for singles Blue Sky At Night and Clouds from 6 Music, Amazing Radio and Radio 1. They also played the ´óÏó´«Ã½ Introducing stage at T in the Park in July 2012.

Soaking in influences including Radiohead, Yes and Roxy Music, Weird Shapes are driven forward by their obsession with audio production and cups of tea. A winning combo.

The band, who own their own studio, are currently working on a six track mini-album, due for release this year.
