About This Event

Poet Nadine Aisha Jassat will be discussing her novel-in-verse The Stories Grandma Forgot (And How I Found Them). In it we follow 12 year old Nyla as she unravels a family mystery. Nyla’s detective work raises themes of loss, friendship, family and community and explores the challenges of supporting a loved one living with Alzheimer's disease.

Nadine will share with us what led her to write the novel and give us insights into her process as a writer and poet, sharing tips and advice for young writers. P5-S1.
