About This Event
Are these the most famous four notes in history? Everyone knows the beginning of Beethoven’s Fifth Symphony, but the real miracle has barely started – and today, with the help of Nicholas Collon and his sensational Aurora Orchestra, ´óÏó´«Ã½ Radio 3’s Tom Service takes it all to pieces and shows you how it works. There’ll be live musical examples, and a relaxed and informal atmosphere: a journey into the mind of a genius, with people who love this music and can’t wait to share it. And then Aurora plays the whole symphony from memory. No sheet music, no inhibitions, just audience, performers and some of the most communicative music ever imagined. It doesn’t get more direct than this.
There will be no interval
