Sea songs, Fado and classic West End musicals: the ´óÏó´«Ã½ Concert Orchestra comes to Great Yarmouth for a very special Friday Night Is Music Night – ´óÏó´«Ã½ Radio 3’s legendary celebration of great tunes, good times and that unmistakable Friday feeling. And tonight, conductor George Jackson and the ´óÏó´«Ã½ Concert Orchestra bring you an evening of music from home and away.

There’ll be hits from the West End musicals with singing sensation Rachel John, something new from the locally-based stars of Freshly Greated, plus a taste of fado with singer Zara Maia – the passionate popular song from Portugal. And naturally, there’ll be popular classics old and new, including The Dam Busters, the Champagne Polka and a whole squadron of British favourites inspired by land, air and sea – as well as a spotlight on one of the ´óÏó´«Ã½ Concert Orchestra’s own stars, horn player Andrew Littlemore.
