Formed on the intriguingly named Eel Pie Island and christened by the flight path overhead, Mystery Jets started in 2004 as a six piece including a father and son drum and bass combo.
Influenced by the likes of Hall and Oates, Syd Barrett and Pink Floyd, the band move musically through prog rock to jaunty pop melodies, as hit single Two Doors Down best demonstrated. Fourth album Radlands was released earlier this year in the wake of bassist Kai Fish's departure, and contains the Jets wonderfully statement rock 'n' roll musings about love, lust and heartbreak.
