About This Event

The Academy of St Martin in the Fields returns to the Proms with director and soloist Joshua Bell in a wide-ranging programme, rich in melody and narrative.

Saint Sa毛ns鈥檚 Third Violin Concerto is the Romantic display concerto par excellence but shares its light-footed musical grace with Beethoven鈥檚 Fourth Symphony and Mendelssohn鈥檚 overture.

叠谤颈诲驳别鈥檚 Lament is an elegy for those who died following the torpedoing of the RMS Lusitania.
