Supported by ´óÏó´«Ã½ Introducing in Northampton

When it comes to mixing styles and genres, there are few singer-songwriters that innovate as freely as Northampton’s Jay Brown. The young singer, born to Jamaican parents, spent her youth teaching herself the guitar and penning tracks by skate parks. Rock riffs merge with hip hop beats while her vocals jump from cockney to northern to Patois... and back again.

Her indie-electronic track Video was selected for the ´óÏó´«Ã½ Introducing slot on the Radio 1 playlist last October and Jay has been collaborating with Bastille’s Dan Smith after supporting the group on tour.
