About This Event
Who can resist a movie soundtrack?
Film music has the wonderful ability to spark our imagination and set the scene – from the scary Jaws via the magical ‘Hedwig’s Theme’ from Harry Potter to the heroic in the form of the Star Wars theme tune and the ‘Superman March’. Soundtracks are popular the nation over, and not just as part of a film, exploiting the full range of the symphony orchestra. Without question, one of the greatest living composers of the soundtrack is John Williams.
In his career he has received countless Oscars and other awards and enjoyed Hollywood fame; his music is known, and loved, by us all!
In celebration of his 90th birthday, join the ´óÏó´«Ã½ National Orchestra of Wales and conductor Pete Harrison, for an evening of musical movie magic.
Dress up as your favourite characters and pose for photos on the red carpet in our paparazzi corner; then keep an eye out on our social media where we’ll be featuring you, our wonderful audience members.
