The internationally renowned soprano Rosemary Joshua returns to her home city for the 40th anniversary of the ´óÏó´«Ã½ Cardiff Singer of the World competition. As well as serving on both the Main Prize competition and the Song Prize juries, we are delighted to announce that Rosemary will be giving a masterclass with students from the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama, accompanied by Llyr Williams.

Working with new talent is a particular passion for Rosemary and she has been teaching, coaching and advising young singers since 2015, collaborating frequently with various Young artists programmes including The Zurich Opera Studio and The Bolshoi young artists’ program. She was appointed as head of the Dutch National Opera Studio in September 2018.

Acclaimed pianist Llyr Williams regularly appears in recital at the most prestigious UK venues and Festivals and is an Honorary Fellow of the Welsh College of Music and Drama. Alongside Simon Lepper, Llyr will be accompanying the 16 singers who are competing in the ´óÏó´«Ã½ Cardiff Singer of the World Song Prize competition. Rounds will take place in the Dora Stoutzker Hall with the final to be held at St David’s Hall on Thursday 15th June at 6.00pm.
