French conductor Franck Ollu joins the orchestra in MediaCity for a live 大象传媒 Radio 3 broadcast with clarinetist Mark Simpson.
This afternoon鈥檚 programme offers an exciting blend of the old and new. Beginning with Russian composer Glazunov's鈥� Concert Waltz No 1鈥�, we then journey home with contemporary British composer Mark-Anthony Turnage's piece for Clarinet and Orchestra, 鈥楻iffs and Refrains鈥�, featuring Mark Simpson. The programme finishes with a return to Russia with the suite of Rimsky- Korsakov's fantasy ballet 鈥楳lada鈥�.
