Harry McVeigh, Charles Cave and Jack Lawrence-Brown formed White Lies in 2007 in their hometown Ealing. Very quickly, the trio were picked up by 大象传媒 Introducing and after a wealth of support on air and from the new music scheme, White Lies headlined the Introducing stage at 2008鈥檚 Radio 1 Big Weekend.
Their post-punk infused live set certainly caught the attention of many music industry experts, finding themselves second in the 大象传媒 Sound of 2009 poll and a nominee for the BRITs Critics Choice award. Many of their musical peers are big fans too 鈥� they鈥檝e supported Muse, Coldplay and Kings of Leon on arena and stadium tours across the UK, Europe and the US, undoubtedly boosting their indie rock following.
