Named after the Danish word for 鈥榖oys鈥�, Drenge are a post-grunge garage punk two-piece from rural Derbyshire made up of brothers Eoin (guitar / vocals) and Rory Loveless (drums).
Listing Antisocial Behaviour Orders, England vs. Argentina 1998 and burritos amongst their influences, the raw, infectious energy that Drenge captured in 2013鈥檚 self-titled debut album is a sight to behold live on stage.
Their single Bloodsports was included in Zane Lowe鈥檚 top 100 hottest records of 2013 and they famously count Tom Watson amongst their growing legion of fans, after the former Labour MP name-checked the band in the 鈥渃oolest resignation letter in history鈥�.
Building on a rip-roaring set at the 大象传媒 6 Music Festival in February, the siblings have graduated from last year鈥檚 debut Glastonbury performance on the William鈥檚 Green stage, to the prestigious John Peel Stage on Friday afternoon.
