Don’t Pass Out

South London MC Tinie Tempah was just 19 when he made his first mixtape with ‘28 songs’. He adopted his name whilst looking through a thesaurus for synonyms of the word ‘anger.’ Eventually finding ‘Temper’, he added ‘Tinie’ to make him sound less aggressive.

His debut single ‘Pass Out’ topped the charts in 2010 and was soon followed by ‘Frisky’ which went to number two. After that came ‘Written in the Stars’, which gave Tempah his second number one. It was even used as the entrance song for the New York Giants at Super Bowl XLVI.

Tinie has since won a MOBO for Best Newcomer and Best Video, Best Breakthrough and Best Single (for Pass Out) at The Brits. Tinie has collaborated with a host of people including Rita Ora, Kelly Roland, Ellie Goulding, Tinchy Stryder, Wretch 32 + J Cole, Lupe Fiasco.

2014 is Tinie’s 3rd visit to T.
