About This Event

The Bible has provided much fruitful inspiration to poets, novelists and composers over the past two thousand years. 大象传媒 Radio 3 New Generation Thinker Joe Moshenska, who teaches Milton at the University of Cambridge, discusses ideas of doom, chaos and Biblical themes with novelist Salley Vickers, whose novel Mr Golightly鈥檚 Holiday features God as protagonist. They look at the 鈥渨eeping prophet鈥 Jeremiah ahead of tonight's performance of Bernstein鈥檚 Symphony No.1, which sets texts from the Book of Lamentations.
