Lance Bass and Joey Fatone (the hairy one) from the band 'N Sync star in this unoriginal but mildly entertaining romantic comedy that should appeal to fans of the band, especially thanks to the soundtrack on the DVD.
TECHNICAL FEATURES
Picture Shot with a muted palette, this slick product transfers to disc with precision quality.
Sound The 5.1 sound mix doesn't have much to do in terms of effects. But if you like your 'N Sync loud and heavy with bass, this track should (literally) rock your world.
SPECIAL FEATURES
Audio Commentary Director Eric Bross and actress Emmanuelle Chriqui hook up for a track that's typified by comments like, "goofing around". Indeed it seems there was a lot of that on set for what seemed to be a good-natured shoot. Eric chips in with some comments on the structure of the movie and points out a scene that's apparently a tribute to "Ghostbusters".
Behind the Scenes There's a fair emphasis, in this eight-minute featurette, on people explaining why making the leap from singers to actors is no big problem for Bass and Fatone. Indeed Lance apparently plays a character not unlike his shy self.
Storyboard Comparison Three scenes are available to watch with the original storyboards in view.
Deleted and Alternate Scenes The five scenes in this section come with an optional commentary, where Eric Brossgenerally concludes that the material was removed for timing reasons.
Outtakes Over three minutes of outtakes are yours to see, although don't expect too many laughs.
