Jo Bole So Nihaal (He Who Believes Will Triumph) (2005)
12aContains moderate violence

After striking gold with a series of flag-waving films, Bollywood muscleman Sunny Deol returns in yet another patriotic outing. But this time our Indian hero isn't hell bent on tracking down Pakistani fanatics, but an international terrorist hired to assassinate the US President. With just the right mix of Rush Hour-style comedy and action, Rahul Rawail's Jo Bole So Nihaal takes you on a bumpy ride from the sleepy lanes of Punjab to the mean streets of New York.

Deol plays honest Indian cop Nihaal Singh, recruited by the FBI to track down the deadly terrorist Romeo (Kamaal Khan) who's out for the President's head. As the only man who's ever seen - and then been duped by - the cunning criminal, Nihaal has his own mission in mind: dragging Romeo back to India in order to redeem his name. But before long, both Nihal and the audience realise that the only thing getting in the way of his plan is the incompetent US intelligence agency and its sexy female officers. Cue some good old-fashioned punch-ups, high-speed chases and witty one-liners.

"A ONE-MAN SHOW FROM START TO END"

One of the better comedies to have come out of Bollywood this year, Jo Bole So Nihaal will please die-hard Sunny Deol fans as well as anyone who likes to see the Yanks get upstaged. Virtually a one-man show from start to end, the only real on-screen competition for the impressive Deol is singer-turned-actor Khan who plays the villainous Romeo with zest. Like its hero, the film has a little bit of brains but a lot of brawn.
