No Entry (2005)
PGContains mild language and comic violence

After tackling a romance and thriller, writer/director Anees Bazmee tries his hand at comedy with No Entry, a caper jammed-packed with Bollywood stars. Salman Khan headlines as Prem, a cheating husband who convinces his friends Kishen (Anil Kapoor) and Sunny (Fardeen Khan) to experience the joys of fun outside of marriage. But tasting the forbidden fruit isn't easy and soon it's not just their partners who smell a rat. Great gags sadly deteriorate into a series of stinky slapstick scenes you'll wish had never entered your life.

When Prem hires sexy bar dancer Bobby (Bipasha Basu) to have an affair with hen-pecked newspaper editor Kishen, their soon to be married friend Sunny also gets roped in to protect him from his suspicious wife Kaajal (Lara Dutta). But both Kishen and Sunny aren't as good liars as Prem, who has managed to pull the wool over his wife Pooja's (Esha Deol) eyes for years. Or so he thinks. Before long Kaajal, Pooja and Sunny's fianc茅 Sanjana are running around trying to prove their men's infidelity, prompting two and a half hours of chaos, craziness and crisis.

"FLIMSY DIRECTION"

Despite a massive star cast and a decent story premise, Bazmee's flimsy direction and reliance on obvious visual jokes fails to create what had the hallmarks of being a classic comedy. However, by garnishing light moments with sauciness, fabulous locales and hip-swinging music, he does manage to produce what Indian audiences call a paisa vasool (money's worth) entertainer. If you are one of those people who can leave your brains behind at the door, you'll enjoy No Entry. If you're not then steer clear.

In Hindi with English subtitles.
