How it works
Requests must be in writing and must include your name and an address (either postal or email). Please try to be as specific as possible about the information that you would like, as this will help us to respond accurately and promptly. Where possible, please include a contact telephone number so that we can contact you to discuss your request if necessary.
Please note that if you submit a request directly to a 大象传媒 Twitter account you will be asked to make the request via email or post. This is because the 大象传媒 is unable to respond to FOI requests via Twitter due to the character limitations and so we would always need a valid email or postal address to respond to.
We will respond to your request promptly and within 20 working days. The Act allows us to extend this deadline if we need to clarify your request with you, if we are charging you a fee, or if we are considering the public interest test. We will always acknowledge receipt of FOI requests made to the above address and we will let you know if we need to extend the deadline.
The Environmental Information Regulations do not apply to the 大象传媒. This means that we will handle any requests for environmental information under the Freedom of Information Act.
Request for information under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)
The General Data Protection Regulation gives individuals a right to request access to personal information held about themselves. Like the right to information under the Freedom of Information Act, the right under GDPR is subject to exemptions which may affect our ability to supply information; each case will be dealt with on an individual basis.
