Ingredients
- tofu: 280g/10oz extra firm tofu, drained
- soy sauce: 1 tbsp soy sauce
- vegetable oil: 1 tbsp vegetable oil
- garlic: 1 garlic clove, crushed or grated
- ginger: 1 tsp grated fresh root ginger
- paprika: 1 tsp paprika
- salt: pinch salt
- cornflour: 2 tbsp cornflour
- chilli sauce: sweet chilli sauce, to serve
Method
Pat the tofu dry with kitchen paper and cut into 20–25 cubes. Preheat the air fryer to 200C.
Mix the soy sauce, oil, garlic, ginger, paprika and salt together in a bowl. Stir the tofu cubes into the soy mixture and then sprinkle in the cornflour, stirring gently until evenly coated.
Air fry for 12–15 minutes, shaking halfway through, until crisp and golden. Serve immediately with the chilli sauce for dipping.
Recipe tips
If you don't have an air fryer you can cook these in a regular oven preheated to 220C/200C Fan/Gas 7 for 25 minutes.
