  • : 2 tbsp chocolate spread, plus extra for serving
  • oil: 3 tbsp oilÌý
  • milk: 3 tbsp milk
  • egg: 1 free-range egg
  • golden syrup: 2 tbsp honey or golden syrup
  • self-raising flour: 4 tbsp self-raising flour

Method

  1. Put the jam and chocolate spread into a mug, and microwave for 30 seconds to soften. Stir in the oil and milk. Leave to cool for a minute or two.

  2. Beat in the egg then mix in the honey or golden syrup. Stir in the flour, to make a smooth batter.

  3. Place the mug back in the microwave for 90 seconds on High. It will rise quite a bit, but deflates again a little afterward.

Recipe tips

This pudding doesn’t keep well, so it’s best to eat it soon after making it.
