A fragrant, alcohol-free apple punch, perfect for cozying up with this autumn.

Ingredients

  • apple juice: 1 litre/1¾ pints apple juice
  • cinnamon: 1 cinnamon stick, plus 6 to garnish
  • cloves: 6 cloves
  • orange: 4 wide strips orange zest
  • stem ginger: 1 knob stem ginger in syrup, sliced, plus 1 tbsp syrup
  • allspice: small pinch ground allspice

Method

  1. Put all of the ingredients in a saucepan and bring to a simmer over medium heat.

  2. Turn heat down to low for 15 minutes, then strain.

  3. Pour in to mugs and garnish each with a cinnamon stick.
