Frost tender plants will not survive a British winter outside. Either grow them as annuals or bring specimen plants into a frost free environment before the first autumn frost and then plant out again once the last frost has passed the following spring.

Description
There are many different varieties of dahlias, all with showy flowers. Best in a sunny spot, they need to be supported with stakes. Dig up the tubers when frosts blacken the foliage, and bring the tubers indoors for winter.
