This shrubby, evergreen, low-growing South African geranium is extremely popular for its strongly scented, heart-shaped leaves, which really do smell of mint. The flowers are small and white, and the growth is scrambling and spreading. Like most pelargoniums, it is best in a pot or window box so that it can be given a prominent position over summer and brought indoors for the winter when it likes to be kept reasonably dry. Increase the amount of watering the following spring, and feed from early summer.
