This is a dramatic foliage plant with large grey-green leaves thickly covered on the undersides with hair. Like most members of the Araliaceae family, the flowers are nondescript, but the impressive foliage more than makes up for it. Plants are not very hardy in the UK and are normally best grown in a cool greenhouse.
