This is a favourite cottage garden flower and culinary herb that has become a popular plant adding bright splashes of colour to flower borders. There is a good choice of colours in the yellow and orange spectrum, and the flower forms can range from simple semi-double to fully double with prominently crested centres. With some careful dead-heading this plant will reward you with a stunning display well into the autumn, and in milder areas it'll keep going the following year. They are easy to grow from seed - sow them in-situ or in pots earlier in the year.
