Freesias have sweetly scented blooms on wiry sterns, ideal for cut flowers. The funnel-shaped flowers range in colour from white, to shades of yellow, red and mauve. Freesias are half hardy and like lots of sun and well-drained soil. Feed weekly after the flower buds appear. When flowering has finished, reduce watering gradually to dry them off, then store corms for replanting.
